The website above gave me some good ideas about how to capture this spectacle. I wanted my photographs to really capture the essence of the spectacle. This website gave me some great tips on how to capture it just right. When it came to choosing the correct viewing position, the space i had was limited. i decided being underneath the fireworks would be great, i would really be able to capture the whole firework as it explodes. I thought about going up into a room, and doing it from a higher position, so get some of the landscape in, but i realised i didn’t want this, i wanted the picture to just be the of the fireworks, no other distractions. I wanted the viewer to see just this spectacle.
When it came to choosing the position to take the pictures of the sparklers, i wanted this to include some landscape and people, as sparklers are a spectacle, but they are also more about how people use them, what patterns they make, what they do with them. This is why i decided to stand in front, very simply, and take the photo including people in the distance. This time of the year brings people together, so for these photographs i wanted these to show that.
